Happy February! The month of groundhog shadows and Valentines Day. Oh brother, I gotta get out of here. So I will. Starting today I am going to visit a friend out of town. I am actually afraid to tell you where I'm going because you're gonna be mad. The reason you'll be mad is because where I'm going, I won't need a scarf, a jacket, gloves, and if I'm lucky not even clothes. Whooah! Hey!! This is a family show!! Get your mind out of the gutter ya sick bastids. I'll be wearing a swim suit most of the time, trying to get some tinge of color into my otherwise White Out based skin. Yup, I'm going to Puerto Rico.
Pause for shouts of "WHAT!! OHH MAN! I HATE YOU!!"
Thanks to the good people at JetBlue, and Colgate Palmolive for transfering my friend to their office down there (thus giving me a free place to stay) I'll spend the week rewriting my screenplay, working on other projects and hopefully spending an inordinate amount of time on the beach. But since I am physically unable to tan (it's either pale white or bright burnt red...no in between) don't expect me to come back looking like I just spent the week in the sun. Which sucks, because whats the point of going to the tropics if you don't come back LOOKING like you went to the tropics?
Another weird aspect of this trip, I will not be on email, IM or mobile phone!!! My friend doesn't have internet access at her apartment (but her apartment is on the beach so you know what, not gonna complain) and I'll be out of my mobile phone service area. That means no postings of hilarious blogs! What will you do? Well, hopefully you will bookmark this page and come back on the 9th for a full report of my trip. Or you could go back and read my archives, and reminisce about the times when I wasn't on vacation. Or read a book - I just finished Michael Crichton's Timeline which is totally good and a really fast read. I know, you're thinking "What the hell is a book!?"
At any rate, do come back on the 9th. I will miss you while I'm gone (no, seriously, stop laughing). Now if you'll excuse me, I have to start applying SPF 45 sunblock.
