You'll have to speak up, I can't hear you over the sound of the crashing waves...

Surprise! I have internet access in Puerto Rico!!!!!!!! Which means you'll get to hear from me every day that I am in paradise. Why do I call it paradise? Because today in New York City it's predicted to get to 41 degrees. Today in Puerto Rico? 81! P-A-R-A-D-I-S-E.

Okay. I'm laying it on pretty thick but come on. This is the first vacation I've had in a LONG time that didn't involve shopping for wedding dresses. And I know you're totally thinking "wait, I thought you weren't working...how do you need a vacation?" And to that I reply - 75 dollar each way on Jet Blue. A free place to stay (thanks Susanna!!) My question is how can I NOT? And if writing a full length screenplay isn't "work", then I am really not looking forward to retirement.

It's not all fun and games here...I took an hour long walk along the beach and am sporting a lovley blister on each big toe from walking through the sand. And because I burn so easily I have to wear SPF 45, which means zero chance of tanning. And there is no pool boy at the apartment complex! What's up with THAT? :)

Sorry about that, I was distracted by the ocean. There is something to so mesmerizing about watching perfect blue water, rolling in, wave by wave as it nudges up against the shore. The warm gold sand under your feet and the warm breeze pulsing through your hair that up until this point has only felt the harsh wind of winter. Watching how the sun hits the water so it's a beautiful blue green which is offset perfectly by the swaying palm trees.

For the love of God, even my writing is tropical down here.

To hell with this. I'm never leaving. Now all I need to do is figure out how to say "Excuse me, can you put sunblock on my shoulders" in spanish.
