It's getting bad. I really need to go grocery shopping. Actually I haven't been in a few weeks: with all the traveling and all the me being lazy, well it just hasn't come up until now. But I know it's getting desperate because last night I actually ate a can of Spagghettios for dinner. Well, not the can itself. I mean, that would be weird.
The problem is that it is about negative 3 billion degrees celsius outside right now. And I know I'm from Colorado, and was conceived in Alaska (no joke) and am supposed to be able to handle the cold, but right now I'm really doubting the actual NEED to go outside. I have powdered milk, about 3 weeks worth of Ramen Noodle, and I'm sure my roommate has food I can pilfer. That's what roommates are for right?
I guess I have to go. I don't want to raid the Ramen yet...that's my emergency food supply when I only have 74 cents in my checking account. And there is only so much powdered milk a person can eat. Although I guess it would help if I added some water, I've been getting some weird looks from people on the subway as I eat powdered milk from the packet. What. Oh like that's the weirdest thing you've ever seen in the subway.
Wait, what am I saying? They deliver stuff now don't they!!?? I can just call up and have some poor schlub cart a few days worth of groceries to my apartment! I don't ever have to leave the house again until May!! Oh happy day!! Yes, bring the food to me. I can't believe I didn't think of this before.
Good, problem solved. Now I can go back to what I was doing: Shivering in bed under 12 inches of blankets, as I try to get the rest of the powdered milk out of the packet.

I haven't wanted to go out either, Gayle! I've been eating tortilla chips for a week!
Must go today!
Well ladies, who's happy about leaving balmy Washington now?
Actually, it has been too cold for me even here. Wish I had that thick Russian blood again. I swear past DC winters haven't been this windy!
BTW - was glad to find your blog. Another way to put off all my reading! Sorry Shannon, you know I'm one of those sorry sports-hating chicks...
