"Writer" my ass. The last time I posted to this I said I wasn't dead yet, and now nearly a month has passed. Seriously, I wasn't dead. Still aren't dead. Aren't? Am not? Good lord even my grammar has gone to crap. This is what happens when you don't maintain your craft.
So to bring you up to speed, my non-writing life has taken over. I got so discouraged with my job search...still am discouraged but things are looking up for me now so there is hope. I am signed up with 3 different temp agencies, only one of whom have placed me anywhere. And that was just for one day. When I realized that temping was not going to be a sustainable way to keep a roof over my head and cable service coming into my house, I started looking into permanent opportunities.
It's all made me realize that the interviewing process is much like going on a blind date. In both instances, whether it's a job interview or a first date, I am asking myself one question: Is this guy gonna end up trying to screw me? Both figuratively and literally folks.
Other distractions since you last heard from me? My sister's bridal shower and impending wedding, a really fun acting class that just gets more and more fun by the minute (funner?), and my overall thankfullness for airconditioning.
So thanks for sticking with me. I promise, barring sudden lottery winnings or actual death, I will post again tomorrow.
Hmm. How's that for ending on a positive note.
