I'm skipping the "something new" item until it's finished. I'm having the new thing made - in Manilla! My fiance's aunt is helping us out so I'd like to save that surprise for when I have it here in person - and can share photos!
So we move on to "Something Borrowed". Traditionally the bride should borrow an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride.
For me this is my sister, and I will be borrowing the hair pin from her wedding!
My plan is that I actually wear it - dear sister couldn't because it got lost when the airlines LOST THE BAG IT WAS PACKED IN.
Oh yes - the week of her wedding, flying home, the airlines lost her luggage. Along with a lot of wedding neccessary items.
Thankfully it all worked out, and thankfully for me, it got returned in time for me to make use of it!
