Does anyone have $675,000 they wanna give me?

Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask right?

Yesterday afternoon, after bemoaning to atrocious loss of my Broncos (for God's sake Jake Plummer, NOW will you cut your freakin' hair! You look like a lumberjack playing football. And badly might I add.)

Anyway yesterday I happened to be outside and noticed an open house sign on one of the cute little town houses across the street from me. I went over, because in 7 years I've never been in one of those houses and have always wanted to live in one of them. Well, it was adorable and exactly what I would consider if I happened to have nearly a million dollars laying around. Seriously, a cute little front yard, living room, dining and kitchen (separate rooms here people, not one big space that you have to eat/sleep/watch tv in.) Then upstairs were 3 bedrooms and a master bath. And there is a backyard with a little deck and ROOM FOR A GARDEN. With - a VIEW OF MANHATTAN. I loved it and totally could imagine being rich as hell and able to live there alone with my Welsh Corgi, in home office and a guest room. So how much for this little gem? A mere $675,000. At the rate I'm going, I'm pretty sure I'll have enough for a down payment in about 57 years years. Awesome.

It was fun to dream...and also fun to see the look on the realtors' face when I came to the door. He sure wasn't taking me seriously. Of course, I probably shouldn't reached into my pocket and pulled out 49 cents in pennies and said "how much will this get me?".

My friend Shevy, who in his spare time works at a mortgage company said that the house is way overvalued and that they would probably have to come down a lot in order to get a buyer. A lot of good that does me, but it's a nice thought. I don't have 10K to put down, much less 130K! Reason Why I Rent #989

But hey, I have a lot of readers - how about all of you send me a dollar and help me buy my house? (Please note, there may only be like 3 or 4 of you total so you may end up having to send me a lot more than a dollar to cover me.)

Sounds lovely. What, you can't afford a $4000 mortgage payment for a TOWNHOUSE? Sorry, I don't know that I can help you...
