Isn't this a great photo??? I found it and am still laughing - despite the crazy day. This is from somwhere in Manhattan this morning.Yes, I got a ride to work this morning. If you can call it that. Waited over 2 hours for the car service to get to me, and then it took us nearly an hour to get downtown. Insane traffic! Then scrambled all afternoon to get car services arranged for people to get home. Oh, and my acting class? The one where that I dragged in a suitcase of clothes for my wardrobe and brought my Christmas gifts for to share tonight??? Yeah. IT GOT CANCELLED. So basically I packed 2 bags full of crap, all for nothing. Thanks MTA. You guys were cool before, now you're just awesome. I LOVE your timing!!!
Since I was so sick of cars and sitting in traffic, I opted to walk home. It's only 4.5 miles and I've done it before so I didn't even worry about it. I did it door to door in under 2 hours. Not bad!! Of course now I'm exhausted and heading to bed. Mainly because walking 4.5 miles in the cold is really freakin' tiring, and also because I've got to be up again tomorrow morning at 5am to record my company's emergency hotline message. Basically telling people whether or not the strike is continuing. My first official voice over job! And I'm lucky, after I record the message, I can go back to bed.
