Take a seat

On any given day I don't sit down a lot. I'm up and down stairs, I carry stuff, I talk to people, but not a lot of sitting. Which is really a shame, especially now. We have a new employee in the office who brought his old executive desk chair with him from his former employer. (I'm hoping he stole it. Sitting in a free chair is great, but sitting in a stolen free chair is awesome.)

Anyway after a couple weeks here he decided his old chair was not comfortable due to some recent shoulder surgery, so he ordered himself a new one. And guess who got the old, still perfectly good chair!? Oh man it's good to be me.

This thing is awesome. My old chair during the day would slowly sink to the floor - the levers didn't really work and I was constantly resetting it so it was at a better height. Now not only do I have a chair that stays where i set it, I have a chair that has a little lumbar pillow that inflates so it's even better for me to be sitting than standing! I'm like 4 minutes away from ordering one of those massage pads that you can put on a chair. Unfortuantely if I spring for that I seriously may not get up ever again.

"Gayle! Gayle! The bathroom is on fire!"
"Okay, roll me over there."

It was just cool that the guy offered it to me, but I've been nice to him in getting his space setup. (I'm only nice to my employees for their first 3 weeks, then they start getting irratating and I hate them. So it's good I cashed in on my niceness now.)

Oh, yeah. This thing reclines too.

Bottom line, I'm never standing up again.

Unless there is free food somewhere.
