Not a good sign

Last night when I was throwing out my trash, I found a huge stack of books that someone had sat next to the bin. Literally 10 or 20 books about alcoholism. Ranging from "How to Live Sober" and the AA handbook. All these books were brand new - which is a really sad state of affairs. Either the person who owned them completely gave up or I just found the absolute worst birthday gift ever.

I got up to page 50 on my first draft last night! Considering I started with page 10 on Friday this is pretty freakin' good! And at least I'll have something to turn in for class on Tuesday. Little achievements go a long way.
