If you look REALLY closely you'll see a movie in this picture. Up on my wall in my workspace at home is a brief write up of every important scene and character trait that will be explored in the movie I'm writing. It's pretty cool to have a physical thing to look at and review - and a constant reminder when I wake up every morning of what I'm doing (at 5am with no coffee! aagggh)
If something changes in a particular scene I just rewrite the card. It's been immensely helpful to visualize the arc of the story. And now I'm finally ready to start writing actual dialogue!!! My due date for a first draft is April 6, so I think I'm write (oooh bad pun) on schedule. Bring on the Academy Awards. (Oh that reminds me, I'll post my predictions for the win tonight. Then on Monday we'll review how totally off I was.)
