For those of you who haven't followed the drama, I have yet to make it home to Denver for Christmas. Yes ladies and gentlemen, the big snow storm in Denver kept me from getting home in time for the holidays. Actually, the idiot United Airlines ticketing agents who told me in both NYC and Chicago that Denver Airport would be open Thursday night are the ones who kept me from getting home in time. It wasn't until I landed in Kansas City, MO (the City of Fountains!! and gift shops made up exclusively of Wizard of Oz items), that anyone from United said "oh, you probably shouldn't have flown today."
So I spent the night in KC and headed back to NY...making a normal 4 hour flight from NY to Denver into a 38 hour one. Spent Christmas with the Miller-Consantini family which was a blast. I highly suggest that if you can't spend a major holiday with your own family, spend it with a big Italian family where the youngest grandson gets a bike AND a puppy from Santa. Man, Santa is a lot more generous in New Jersey than he ever was in Colorado I can tell you that!
Anyway I will head again today to get back to Denver. Thanks to JetBlue. I've been trying all morning to reach someone at customer service at United to get a refund. Bottom line they should have never put me on an airplane TWICE on Thursday. I'm definitely due a refund, if not a tearful apology. Or a bag of cash.
Or a puppy.

My husband will never forgive United for asking us "do you have anyone you can visit here?" when we got stranded in Chicago. But I hope you made it there finally. Just in time for another blizzard.
