Yesterday there was a story on the news about a woman in Arizona who left her 2 year old child in her car at the valet station while she went into a store to do some shopping. 30 minutes later she returned, and was arrested.
If there was ever a situation where I really should have been able to write "and she died in a hail of gunfire" this was it, but that's probably not something I should be writing or thinking in this joyous season.
I did leave out a critical element of this story, and that is that the woman did take her little dog in to the store with her. You know, because it's cruel and unusual to leave a dog locked in your car.
It just infuriates me to read about people who happen to have kids treating them like they're not precious little ones that God has given to them for safe keeping. This idiot was more interested in finishing up her holiday shopping than her baby? Did she pull up to the Valet station and think it said "Child Care"?
It makes me crazy.
