And the tour of the south continues

Today I write to you from Raleigh, NC! I'm in town for my company's annual office manager meeting - where all 9 of the office managers get together to discuss programs, strategies, and of course gossip about the people in our offices. It helps to know that we all sort of deal with the exact same issues and that we're not freaks just because no one in our particular office will load the dishwasher.

I had a great day yesterday with an old family friend Kathleen as we explored the Duke University campus. We visited the Sarah Duke Gardens which had some of the most amazing plants and flowers I'd ever seen. I took about 75 pictures, so you'll be seeing some of those in the coming weeks. We also had an amazing time a the Nasher Art Gallery which is the university's art gallery with quite possibly the best museum restaurant I've been in. Kathleen and I were wowed by their salads made from organic items from the area farms. The art was really unique and different too.

I then checked in to the lovely Ramada Inn in Raleigh, right across the street from the ED office where we'll be meeting and enjoyed a quiet afternoon until the rest of the gang arrived and we searched for food. I don't know how I'm going to get through the next few days without getting sick or fat or both - it's going to take some work to find some Zone friendly food here (everything at breakfast was fried...and the lady forgot to bring me my fruit cup which is the only thing on the menu that wouldn't have caused a heart attack). Anyway I'll survive and just try to take advantage of as much salad related foods as I can!

I'll be back in NY at the end of the week, but now I'm off to meet up with a friend from highschool who moved to the area!
