I'm gonna be sick

Last night as I was riding home on the subway, a young woman got on with 2 kids. One toddler, I'd say 3 years old, and another kid, maybe just 1 in a stroller. The toddler was not a happy camper, whining, tired, wouldn't sit still. Hey, I know that feeling. The mother probably felt the same way because she was totally ignoring the kid.

This makes me angry when a parent totally ignores what their kid is doing. In this case jumping up and down on a seat. Then jumping down the ground and...ARE YOU READY FOR THIS...picking up a discarded Gatorade bottle and playing on the floor of the subway with it. As if the bottle where a toy truck.

PUKE PUKE PUKE

Ladies and gentlemen...this is a NYC subway we are talking about. This thing gets mopped every other month as far as I can tell, and that's if you're lucky. Your kid is now rolling around on that same floor!

BUT WAIT IT GETS BETTER

The kid drops the bottle on the floor. It rolls around. People kick it away. The kid runs half way down the car, picks it up comes back to his mom and continues playing on the floor with it. THEN

ARE YOU READY

THEN he HANDS IT TO HIS BABY SISTER WHO PROCEEDS TO PUT IT IN HER MOUTH!

AGGGH I'm going to die I am GOING TO DIE! The mom? Totally oblivious. Hey lady, why do you bother with the stroller? Why not just let you baby crawl around on the floor and lick people's feet???

I actually got off the train one stop earlier than I needed because I was physically ill. I feel lightheaded just thinking about it now.

I have to admit to being a bad mom, and I have already become lax about cleaning the pacifier, But... Yuck!

Just because people can reproduce and have children, doesn't mean they know how to take care of them. Imagine what her house looks like?
