How sad that I'm actually excited by this stuff

Okay, how cool was my day - and how lame am I that it exites me..

First, got my DVD player. Thank you BEST BUY. 48 bucks! I went online, ordered it, and then picked it up at the store. And I watched a crappy movie on it when I got home. Had to laugh when my roommate came home, saw it all installed and said "Oh, you got a DVD player?"

No. No that's just a empty metal box.

Second reason I had a cool day? Finally got a batch of jam made properly. Boiled the jars, measured precisely, and so far it looks like it's going to actually turn into jam and not into syrup. Not that the syrup is bad. It just doesn't go good on scones. Which...I...err....never eat. Anyway hopefully now that I have this jam making thing down I can actually start making Christmas gifts for the people I'm too cheap to buy real gifts for.

Thirdly, and I just added this because I just found out...the young woman who went to my highschool and had that terrible accident back in May was just released from the hospital! She's going home!! Check out the story, and then go celebrate!
