Welcome to fall

It's a little nutty out there today. Not in the peanut butter sense, but in the sense that it got so cold last night I had to put the comforter back on my bed. Of course I COULD have just closed the windows in my bedroom but that wouldn't have made half as much of an interesting post.

The talent "manager" who occasionally sends me on auditions called yesterday and asked if I was a SAG actor yet. This annoyed me because a) no I'm not and b) they ask me this about 2 times a month....sometimes they only call me to ask if I'm SAG. I finally told the poor assistant to write it in my file because I certainly was NOT SAG and the only thing more annoying to me than NOT being SAG is repeatedly being asked if I am. Particularly by the person who is supposed to betting me gigs so I can BECOME SAG. (Screen Actors Guild for those who don't know...it's a classification you strive for so you can get a certain pay rate, benefits, etc.)

We're getting ready at the office for our staff retreat next week. I had a staff meeting on Tuesday where I laid down the law about when we're leaving at 3pm and how I'm not waiting for people. I have no problem leaving some person behind just because they're too lazy to get their crap together and be on the bus when we're supposed to. This isn't summer camp kids, we're all adults and I will treat you as such. One of the guys in the IT group said "I just had a flashback to my family vacations." This made me laugh...at least I knew people got the point!
