Haha! You're no longer a temp!!

Did you hear the one about the writer who ended her year of writing and temping by getting hired!? Oh god! That's a good one. Yeah, yeah, she was so busy she didn't have time to update her blog on a regular basis!

Wait. That's not funny at all. Why would you say something awful like that?

Yes folks (and thanks to Jeff Winslow and Chad Rogers for posing this ridiculous shot last night after acting class) I'm back. I was officially offered the position of "office manager" at the New York office of Environmental Defense. A place where I have been temping since August, and where, 2 years ago, I left after having worked there for 2 years. I'm pretty pumped to be going back because a) health benefits are awesome. And..okay well that's pretty much it. But it will be awesome to have a reliable income again, with the flexibility of still writing and taking auditions. And hey, Environmental Defense has offices in DC, Boulder, and LA among others, so wherever I decide to move to, it's quite likely I could stay with the organization. But I'm pleased that I'll be starting the year (with the holiday vacation time, we decided it made more sense to "start" in January instead of going into debt with vacation time and starting next week. In the mean time I'll technically stay on a temp, but for all purposes (other than benefits) I am official. It's pretty cool how this all worked out.

I can't promise I'll be better about updating this site. But I can promise that I'll have much better comedy material from here on out!! :)
