I am so lucky that so far (KNOCK ON WOOD) I have managed to find some really fun vendors. I mean people you don't mind writing HUGE checks to, but people with whom in other circumstances
you would also probably just hang out. We definitely feel this way about our photographer and prospective florist, and after my meeting today with our event coordinator at the restaurant, I feel that way about our reception too! It's nice to know that on the big day, the fun details will be well taken care of. By fun people!
It's also nice to know that we're getting some great deals at the venue - they're going to provide us FREE OF CHARGE (ooh we like that) napkins IN OUR WEDDING COLORS. This means I don't have to pay extra for special linens - we'll just use white and the purple napkins will provide color for the table and accents! You like that? It gets even better - the free votive candles and holders they put out at the tables - PURPLE!

The only downside today was learning that we have to wait until August to do our tastings for the menu and cake. Since we want to do a seasonal menu we have to wait until the restaurant puts out their fall menu, but still, I want cake now!
