Letter from Iran to the United States

I was able to get a copy of the letter that the Iranian president sent to George Bush! Here's the gist...


Dear Mr. George,
Hello! How are you? I am good. I hope you are good too. Today I made muffins. The yummy kind with raisins and pecans. I would have preferred to use walnuts but we were all out. I made an extra batch for my secretary. She works so hard I thought it was nice to do something nice for her.

Okay so we do not agree so much on this nuclear power thing. I know, I know. You are very busy invading other countries so it is not fair to make you start thinking about invading mine too. But I am sure you will have time. I like to use a Filofax to organize my time, but you may like to use a different calendar and note taking system. I just like the Filofax so much because I can carry everything with me! Calendar, to do lists, address book. This is amazing! That reminds me, I have a pilates class today at 3pm. Good thing I checked! I would have totally forgotten. I am always doing that.

But I digress. Please. Let us not discuss this "nuclear" problem anymore. You have bombs, they have bombs, everyone has bombs. And I think that if we just all agree to only use it for developing energy sources, for selling to terrorists or saving for a lovely Father's Day gift for dad, then we'll all get along.

So thank you Mr. George. I am glad to see you on CNN so much and especially like the new tie. Good luck with the democracy thing.
