#147 - The picture says it all

This is a sample of one of the thank you cards I made a few months ago when I had my marathon card making weekend with my aunt. These, and the three other samples we're making will come in handy over the next few months as the gifts come in. And even if the gifts don't come in, they'll be put to work eventually! The swirl motif will be repeated on just about everything that can be stamped (invitations, menu cards, program, the back of my hand...)
And the thank you, well, I would like to think that the thank you will be the repeating them of the next now less than 5 months.
It's been really tough for me to get into the wedding spirit during the past 1.5 years (in September we will have been engaged for 2 years!) So now that we're very much into the home stretch, I'm ready to start feeling a little more excited. My bridal shower is next weekend, we can now definitely refer to this time as "in the home stretch".
Maybe the event planner part of me got so carried away with the to do lists and vendor meetings that I forgot to stop and have fun. And maybe the worrier part of my personality got carried away with how much this all could cost. In the midst of all this I forgot the real purpose of this party - I'm getting married! And no matter what happens or doesn't happen, nothing will change that whole "I'm getting married" piece!
So to get past all these worrying and focus on the "to dos", I'm going to sit back, relax, and be thankful.
Hmm. Wonder how long that will last. Grin.
